Eagle

A straightforward rendering of an eagle, I started with pastels but it seemed to hold me back a little in the final rendering and in the end I wasn't too happy with the final outcome.

Eagles are usually pretty easy to paint as they have very sharply defined lines and colours and fun can be had detailing the feathers, I think in hindsight I should have done a little more with the background and given the edges a little more of a painterly effect.
